Memorial Medical Group (MMG), a division of Memorial Health System is the largest, most comprehensive medical group in the region providing quality, compassionate care for you and your family at every stage of life.
Representing 23 medical specialties at more than 25 convenient locations, Memorial Medical Group offers some of the most advanced care in the region. For a list of our current Memorial Medical Group Physicians that are accepting new patients, click here.
From prevention to diagnosis, treatment to laboratory services, and even our convenient on-line scheduling and prescription refills, MMG Physicians and Specialists offer a wide range of health care services to help you and your family live your best possible quality of life.
"I think one of the 'best kept secrets' here in Michiana is Memorial's Clinical Research Institute," says Scott Eshowsky, M.D., MMG Physician and Clinical Investigator at the Clinical Research Institute. With more than 15 active and pending trials, MMG patients are enrolled in studies to develop medications for rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, hypertension, and atrial fibrillation, among others. "Clinical Research is not only good for Memorial as an organization, it's very positive for patients and the greater community as well," says Dr. Eshowsky.
More than 20 years after MMG introduced Med-Point to our community, a unique new model of health care delivery called MEDPOINT express (MPE) has also taken hold. Located in local Martin's Super Markets, and staffed by nurse practitioners, MPE clinics offer convenient care for minor health conditions.
More than just health care for today, MMG is also helping to train the next generation of health care experts through Memorial's Family Medicine Residency Program. Resident physicians experience the depth and breadth of Memorial Hospital's numerous specialties and also practice at the E. Blair Warner Family Medicine Center.
MMG also offers The Memorial Center for Occupational Health which offers a full range of occupational health services to more than 2,500 client companies, including: treatment for on-the-job injuries, ergonomic assessments, Workers' Compensation cases, executive physicals, injury prevention, drug screenings, and corporate wellness programs.
"Our community is also tuning into Memorial's MMG experts across the airwaves," says Gordon. Over the past decade, Memorial has been building health information content for local news operations.
Robert Riley, M.D., Director of the Family Medicine Residency Program, has offered a health tip segment on WNDU since 1995, providing overviews on various topics and fielding viewer calls. Each week, WSJV news director works with Ken Elek, M.D. to identify key topics that will resonate with callers who jam the phone lines with questions.
MMG and WSBT Channel 22 sponsor a unique segment called SickWatch. Much like a weather report, this weekly spot pinpoints the communicable diseases showing up in doctors' offices throughout the region. More than 60 MMG offices and Med-Points collect diagnoses each week. On Monday evenings at 11 p.m. and Tuesday mornings at 6 a.m. a map shows families where illnesses such as strep throat and chickenpox are popping up, helping them recognize and hopefully avoid the playgrounds, schools and stores where they could possibly get sick.
Fulfilling health care needs across the lifespan, Memorial Medical Group physicians and specialists extend their reach to the far corners of our communities. And, with ever-expanding capabilities, technologies and commitment, will remain a pre-eminent fixture in our community well into the future.
