Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Program

The Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Program at Memorial Children's Hospital offers children and their families a comprehensive array of services in the fight against cancer and other blood disorders. The team, led by Timothy Griffin, M.D., includes a pediatric nurse practitioner, nurses, social services staff and a parent advocate. Together, they offer children and their families personal counseling, psychological support and coordination of treatment to minimize the impact of a chronic disease on a family's daily life. Services can include, chemotherapy, sickle cell therapy, blood transfusions, specialized hematology testing, teaching and school outreach, family activities, radiation therapy, hemophilia management, nutritional counseling, a pediatric oncology support group and bereavement services.
